ABOUT ME:

I am a creative problem solver and full-stack designer focused on creating inspiring and effective user experiences, with a focus on enterprise design, but not limited to maps, games, e-commerce, and other fun things. My background combines creativity and analytics, with a strong foundation in spatial analysis/location intelligence and participatory research, which allows me to approach product design with a unique lens. 

I’m a big-picture thinker with a bias for action and details. I am adept at balancing business needs with the ideal user experience. My approach is to use as much research and data as possible to fuel great, user-centered design. I am a big fan of heuristics, atomic design, and newly interested in object-oriented UX (OOUX) as a way to bridge the language gap between designers and developers.

Most recently, I was a Senior Product Designer at Botkeeper, an automated accounting platform that is leveraging the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate, accelerate, and advance the quality of the manual bookkeeping process. I lead the design and user experience efforts for our Automation and Operations Maximization team—focused on creating new, enjoyable, and efficient accounting experiences while humanizing our AI and machine learning efforts through good design.

Previously, I was the Lead Product Designer at What Goes Around Comes Around, the leading global purveyor of authentic luxury goods, where I designed and managed both our enterprise and consumer products, ranging from an e-commerce platform to complex internal tools to an ERP.

I currently live in Richmond, VA with my partner, Kaylee, our two dogs, and two cats. I also have a passion for building computers, mechanical keyboards, sneakers, hip-hop, Star Wars, and houseplants.
